inaugural post

holly smokes, i am late joining the blogosphere, but as the good old adage goes "here at last, here at last, thank Queens all mighty for raising me, here at last!" oh yeah, we'll be doing plenty of paraphrasing and, for that matter, parablogging from this post heaven. although, i do expect some substance to seep in from time to time. at times more, at times less and still at other times none, but that is not to daunt me in the least bit since it never really has before. nonetheless, enough about me and my late blogostart. this inaugural post shall lay the groundwork for the intellectual fog that will lay ahead: i will talk about politics, sports, activism, community organizing, dating and interpersonal life, science and philosophy, pop culture, culture and the lack of culture, art, or ideas and things that pass off as art, but most importantly, and i'm sure i'm leaving out a lot, i will discuss the overarching confluence of these topics from the perspective of an "everyday" Queens raised, Queens bread, not so native, Queens native. Queens NY! as they say "the most diverse borough in America." a slogan in the classic American tradition of self emphasis? perhaps yes and at the same time, not merely a slogan. but we'll get to that in the next post. in the meantime i am QueensNative
